Enamel bowl with a young shepherd and nearby a lamb, undoubtedly an allusion to Christ The Lamb of God, in perhaps one of the more conceptually difficult parallels that Christianity presents whereby Christ as the Shepherd who offers Himself as the Sacrificial Lamb, becoming the Offering and the One who is being sacrificed. A very decorative and interesting object. French Limoges, 18th Century.
