Description
An Indian Katar dagger, unique to the Indian Subcontinent, it is a “thrusting” weapon, one that utilizes the hand in a pushing action as opposed to slashing. It is characterized by the H shaped upper part just above the two-sided blade. Antique, 19th century, it was probably designed to split open the enemy’s chain mail protection, 18th/19th Century.
