Early Egyptian Nilotic clay vessel, Late 4th millennium BC, Naqada I, as it is known, from the first excavated site of the pre-Dynastic Period, with its distinctive black bottom  red top which results from their ancient method for their clay ceramics. Good and early example of its type.
