Description
A good early Chinese plate glazed in a wonderful turquoise color and with an inscription in under-glaze black. Please note the real gold leaf “repairs” executed on some of the edge-chips. In Japan, this type of ceramic repairs represent a “repair of honor” of a valuable ceramic, the process is known as “golden joinery,” Kintsugi, or Kintsukuroi.
