An early Japanese model of a cow, possibly co-Kutani.
The gentle bovine in repose but with head raised in attention and awareness of the surroundings. Painted with characteristic black spots on the body. Exceedingly early and rare Japanese ceramic pre-dating the creations of most other, more common well-known ceramic studios.
