A fine gold finger ring, mounted in a fancy openwork setting composed of double spiral elements, round collar bezel set with a double layered paste glass jewel. The glass inset displays a mother of pearl-like patina characteristic of ancient glass.

Condition: Some minor loss around the upper edge of the bezel, otherwise intact.

It dates to the early Byzantine Period, 5-8th century AD.
