Description
A finely inlaid cast bronze vessel after the prehistoric Chinese Shang Dynasty, with a metal inlay and with the cover surmounted by three apotropaic animal heads and supported with elegant feet terminating in tao-tie animal masks. A good, later period example.
Size: 8 ¼ in. high by 8 ¼ in. between the protruding lugs. Extensive oxidation.
